The fourth in the series of Mr Little books, all of which involve terrifying demands on the noise-making talents of a reader-aloud. A boldly printed story about the things carried in and on Mr Little's truck is combined with tiny factual captions labelling the parts of vehicles and machines with a wide range of sound effects. This ought to be an uneasy mix, but small children love all three aspects of the book and it will be popular with any under-5.
