Holly Keller has such a sure touch with text and illustration that she can get away with what are clearly recipe books designed to help children cope with difficult life situations. She produces book after book which all children can learn from and enjoy. This is no exception and Horace's struggle to search for his roots and identity, and the way in which he comes to terms with his adoption as a spotty leopard into a family of stripy tigers, is so sensitively portrayed that even the youngest child will understand and respond.
