Bears are usually sure-fire winners but Amanda Davidson's toy teddy is too sweet and sugary for my taste at least. The brief text is easy enough to read but the present tense story has no sparkle and there is no real incentive to read it though under-fives may enjoy looking at the 'chocolate box' style pictures.
