The Sea Horse

Young Jamie nearly drowns in an early morning swim on his Cornish holiday. As he sinks for what surely will be the last time, he finds himself riding on the back of the Sea Horse who rushes in to the shore with a host of other white horses forming the crest of a wave. The following night, when the Sea Horse crashes out of the sea during an enormous storm and fetches up in the stable of a particularly unpleasant local farmer, Jamie knows he must rescue him. A charming story with a mixture of colour and black-and-white illustrations.
