Bonnie the Maltese dog is living a happy life – until Harry and his mother discover grooming. From which follows the idea of getting Bonnie ready for a show... Neither Bonnie nor Harry is overly enthusiastic about this, until Harry realises that all the accompanying activities are helping his mother become happier and meet more people. Does the show go to plan? Of course not! Does Bonnie improve their lives whatever happens? Definitely so! Worth reading for anyone who loves animals – and Bonnie’s reflections are well worth reading and discussing too.
